Barrier Fence System for Shipyard Construction Site Security
We recently shipped 650 linear feet of our Hilmerson Barrier Fence System™ to Goose Creek, South Carolina, where HII Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) is expanding operations to support the U.S. Navy.
This site will handle construction of nuclear-powered submarine and aircraft carrier modules, requiring secure and organized perimeter control from day one.

Heavy-Duty Perimeter Protection for Military Shipbuilding
The customer needed a robust system to provide construction site perimeter protection throughout the build. They added barbed wire for additional security and unlike other systems, ours isn’t an afterthought. The barbed wire is built into the panel, stretched tight, and made of high-strength wire that holds up in tough environments.
What We Supplied:
- 650 LF of 10′ x 5′ Hilmerson Barrier Fence with wire
- 6” patented Side Saddle Brackets™
- 65 Top Clamps
- Integrated barbed wire top — manufactured as part of the panel
How It’s Being Used:
The fence system is being used to secure the perimeter during the construction of shipbuilding modules, structures, and assemblies.
