The program shines a spotlight on Minnesota companies and leaders committed to supporting and elevating women in the workforce. Honorees are chosen by a panel of judges based on efforts to hire and promote women, combat inequality, create mentorship opportunities, and advance the next generation of leaders.
For more than 30 years, Deb has been a trailblazer in the construction industry—a space still largely dominated by men. Starting as a field laborer and safety director, she saw firsthand the challenges women face on jobsites and made it her mission to change the culture of safety while opening doors for others.
That commitment is reflected not only in the patented Hilmerson Safety Rail System™ and Hilmerson Barrier Fence System™, but also in Deb’s ongoing mentorship of both women and men seeking guidance in their careers.
The Empowering Women 2025 celebration was held on September 24 at Mosaic Venue in Minneapolis, where honorees from across industries were recognized for their impact. Hilmerson Safety is proud to stand alongside this year’s honorees and remains committed to building safer job sites and a stronger, more inclusive industry.
