When it comes to securing construction fencing to barriers effectively, the Hilmerson patented Side Saddle Bracket™ paired with a reusable drop-in anchor system is a game-changer.
This combination simplifies installation, saving time and money, and enhances durability, making it a preferred choice for many of the top general contractors in America.
Why Choose a Reusable Anchor System for Barrier Fence Installation?
A typical barrier fence is mounted by using a traditional screw anchor inserted into the barrier that secures the fence to the barrier. Often it requires eight screw anchors that frequently break off into the barrier itself causing securement challenges and ongoing damage to the barrier. Using a permanent insert with reusable anchor system offers several advantages over traditional anchors.
Prevent Barrier Damage with a Permanent Solution
The drop-in anchor is “inserted and set” one time and remains embedded into the concrete barrier, requiring no further drilling and preventing any further damage to the barrier. The reusable anchors are designed to be inserted into the barrier and sit flush with the face of the concrete barrier. These anchors eliminate the need for repeated drilling into the concrete, preserving the integrity of your barriers and saving you time, effort, and money.
How to Install the Reusable Anchor System and Patented Side Saddle Bracket™
1. Secure the Fence to the Bracket
Secure the Hilmerson Barrier Fence System™ to the patented Side Saddle Bracket ™ by tightening the set screw.
2. Place Fence on the Barrier
Align the Hilmerson Barrier Fence System™ onto the barrier.
3. Drill a Hole
Begin by drilling a hole (per insert instructions) into the concrete slab where the bracket is mounted.
4. Insert and Set the Anchor
Drop the reusable anchor into the drilled hole. Using these anchors consistently prevents the need for creating new holes, which can lead to additional damage to the barriers. “Set” the insert by using the recommended Hilti Setting Tool. This tool ensures the anchor is properly wedged into the barrier to prevent movement of the anchor as well as preventing over-drilling and maintaining bolt usability.
5. Secure the Bracket
Install and secure the washer and bolt into the insert.
One of the standout features of the Side Saddle Bracket™ is its ease of barrier fence reinstallation between job sites:
- Remove the Bolt: Unscrew the bolt from the barrier.
- Detach the Fence Panel: Lift off the fence panel.
- Reattach the Bolt: Screw the bolt back into the barrier to avoid losing it during transport.
- Move the Equipment: Pick up the entire system and move it to the next job site.
By leveraging the patented Side Saddle Bracket™ and the reusable anchor system, you streamline both installation and relocation processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing wear and tear on your concrete barriers. This approach not only simplifies installation but also prolongs the life of your barriers, making it a smart choice for any construction project.
Solid. Secure. Straight Lines.
Hilmerson’s Patented Side Saddle Bracket™ saves barriers and makes for easy installation and take down.
