We proudly manufacture construction-grade™ perimeter control in two locations in the United States. Our galvanized heavy-duty 13g steel rails and barrier fence panels exceed OSHA standards. Like scaffolding our products last 15+ years and can be brought “in-house” and re-rented for years.
Our market research found the cost of job-built wooden guardrails averages $18.58/linear foot, and that does not factor in lumber cost increases as high as 30% since the start of 2017. We also found estimators often fail to include significant “true cost” factors like transportation, disposal, inspections, and maintenance required for job-built wooden guardrails in their cost estimates.

The idea is simple but powerful. Every 10’ guardrail panel sold equals one tree planted in the United States. Since our product launched in 2018, the Hilmerson Safety Rail System™ has replaced over 360,000 linear feet of 2×4 lumber on construction sites around the country, supporting our customers’ lean initiatives, sustainable building practices, and job site safety!
In 2019, we decided to take it one step further by partnering with OneTreePlanted.org to plant a tree for every Hilmerson Safety Rail System™ we sell. To date, we have planted more than 5,778 trees on behalf of our customers in US National Forests.
From towering old-growth redwood forests on the West Coast to sprawling maple groves in the Northeast, America’s forests are as unique as the nation itself. With forest fire recovery in the west, longleaf pine restoration in the southeast, and National Forest restoration from coast to coast, One Tree planted’s United States projects are planting trees to recover ecosystems after natural disasters, restore habitat for biodiversity, stabilize vital watersheds, and more.
